Hire Services

Event Services has an extremely comprehensive and diverse hire department specialising in equipment for theatre and live events, conference and exhibitions, parties, special occasions and weddings. We offer complete stage set, drapery, starcloths, rigging and trussing, modular staging systems hire, lighting hire, followspot hire, sound hire, plasma screen hire and data projector. Fully equipped outdoor covered stage hire, outdoor lighting hire. Sound, audio visual, public address systems and of course the kitchen sink!
Our equipment is suitable for T.V and film companies, theatre and dramatic arts, live entertainment and Events in any location to any scale and budget. We also have catwalks for hire in various designs, and we keep a large stock of red carpets and barrier to hire for award ceremonies, V.I.P events, functions and weddings.
We offer friendly free advice about what equipment may be most suitable for your event. All of our equipment is carefully maintained, serviced and checked before leaving our stores. Training is also available to ensure you get the most for your hire.
Short-notice hires or last minute equipment panics are a particular strength of ours, If it is physically possible in the time then we will do it. We know what the real world is like and intend ensuring that we will remain your first call for hire.!

Event Services are the perfectly placed partner for event or exhibition projects. We will work with you to ensure that everything is in place, on time and within budget. Utilize our very extensive knowledge of this market and extensive equipment portfolio alongside Event Services scenic construction workshop to best effect. We will either merely supply equipment to you, or plan and staff the function as required. All our events are created with an exacting eye to the details that create memories of a highly professional, successful event amongst your clients or guests. Design & Installation

We provide high quality, well designed, flexible installations that offer a long service life and good value. Event Services appreciate that clients have differing requirements and expectations of an installation. For some technical complexity and flexibility may be the most important features, whilst for others it might be ease of operation and minimal maintenance requirements. Therefore we take the time to evaluate individual client’s situations and offer the most suitable solution to their present and future needs.
We offer integrated lighting, sound, staging and mechanical services. From a professionally draped and lit, fully-equipped theatre space to a hotel conference suite with full multi-media audio visual facilities even, Event Services are equally at home. We have a very extensive experience of working within tight budgets (all too common in this industry!) or upgrading existing facilities to meet the most demanding technical requirements.
Unlike many of our competitors we have our own well equipped workshop facilities meaning that all of our bespoke bracketry and fabrication needs are handled in house. Our workshops also offer full scenic construction and modification services, thus providing a highly integrated service of great benefit to our clients.

Servicing and Repairs

Event Services’ engineers can service and maintain all your sound, lighting and presentation systems. Whether you need a faulty item repairing, or are planning a routine maintenance schedule (covering all or part of your equipment), Event Services can help. Routine, planned maintenance can also dramatically reduce equipment failure, and ensures optimal performance. We can normally offer replacement items from our hire stock, to ensure that your events or performances are disrupted as little as possible. We offer a full, competitively priced Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) service. This includes a full mechanical and optical examination, where relevant.
As highly experienced theatre and entertainment practitioners ourselves, we are aware of areas of specific concern with equipment types and know exactly how it should work and will ensure that it is safe and functional upon return.
Event Services are also available to offer a full refurbishment service for any piece of equipment looking tired. We can also bring new life to old lanterns from updating wiring sets to conversion kits we can cover all your needs.
We are also proud to announce that we can now offer marquee heater repairs and servicing for all makes and models along with catering equipment repairs cookers, Fridges and displays we have the expertise to help you

Scenery and Prop Hire

One of Event Services strengths is its theatrical flair, created from the many years professional experience of its key staff. We have fully equipped workshops for the fabrication and construction of scenery, associated rigging and ironmongery. This ensures we can meet deadlines and indeed our own or clients’ exact specifications.
Event Services in-house design and fabrication abilities allow you to come to us with a design proposal, (or a complete set of plans) and we will help you turn these into a three dimensional reality.
As well as creating clients’ sets and scenic pieces we have a range of scenery and props available for hire or sale (see also this page of our hire catalogue). We hold a comprehensive stock of scenic flats, draperies, stage braces, stage weights, flying and grid equipment, rigging and suspension accessories all available for hire.
No matter how weird, unusual, seemingly impossible or impractical, your requirements may seem, we can normally help out!

Sales


Event Services sell from a wide range of budget and professional, lighting, sound and general theatrical equipment. From gaffa tapes and spare lamps through to top specification performance lighting and sound, we offer value and customer service. If an item is not in stock we can normally obtain it quickly and competitively. Our extensive lamp stock includes many unusual and hard to obtain specialist lamps.
We are happy to work with clients, designers and architects at project planning stages to help specify the right equipment for your venue. Although we have ties to particular manufacturers and have preferential equipment that we extensively test before we promote, we work as a ‘free house’, supplying what is right for the job, not what we have left in stock or what is on special offer from any particular manufacturer, we always aim to look for the best value for money over the best label on an item.
We carry a range of consumable items including tapes, effects fluids and flame retardant products, and can offer overnight delivery in most cases.
